Wellness® Wellbites® Lamb & Salmon

Hey guys!

When I'm training Abby and Max, I cut up soft, bigger treats into small squares so that they're bite sized. That way, they don't spend a lot of time chewing and forgetting why they got a treat in the first place!
One of my favorites to use is the Wellness® Wellbites® Lamb & Salmon Recipe.

None of the kids are picky eaters, but I was told by a sale associate at Bosley's that if you do have a picky dog, chances are he or she will like these.

Check out other Wellness® products http://www.wellnesspetfood.com/index.aspx!

Ingredients:
Lamb, Salmon, Ground Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Vegetable Glycerin, Guar Gum, Cane Molasses, Carrots, Salt, Natural Smoke Flavor, Garlic, Blueberries, Flaxseed, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, Phosphoric Acid (a natural acidifier), Sorbic Acid (a preservative), and mixed Tocopherols (a natural preservative).

Naturally preserved.

Abby update: 9 weeks

Abby turned 9 weeks old this past wednesday, and she's been learning a lot.
She can now sit, lie down and she's learning how to 'leave it'!

About: Max

We got Max last October from a rescue group in Yakima, WA.

He was 3 months, and the other 3 puppies in his litter had been adopted.

I found Max on Petfinder while we were looking for a rescue dog-- a puppy.

He's now 10 months (20 lb) and his temperament is very very different from Hannah's. He still bothers her quite a bit, biting at her muzzle and tail sometimes.

Because we got Max early on in his life we decided that we needed to socialize him, in case we'd end up with another anti-social dog (which we didn't want).

Max is funny in his own little ways and we are continuing to learn more about him as he grows up!

Check out his mom, dad and siblings below!

Animal Planet™ Grain-Free Soft and Chewy Treats Salmon

These are pretty chewy, when I gave Max one he looked like he was chewing gum! Max likes them, but I haven't tried them out on Abby or Hannah.
The treats themselves are slightly moist. I don't really know how to explain it.. like raw bread dough thats hardened overnight?
They're pretty easy to rip apart but in all honesty, I was expecting them to be as dark as the picture on the front of the bag.
These will be great for training Hannah, since they're big and she's fallen behind on her obedience.

Ingredients:
Salmon, Soy Protein Concentrate, Soy Flour, Canola Oil, Glycerin, Powdered Cellulose, Salt, Sorbic Acid (preservative), Potassium Sorbate (preservative), Mixed Tocopherols (preservative), Yeast Extract, Potato Flour, Dill, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Sunflower Oil, Natural Smoke Flavor.

About: Hannah

We got Hannah back in late October 2010 from a high end breeder.

She was 5 years, turning 6 and I really wanted a big dog, but due to many failed puppy attempts both my mom and I were very cautious about getting a dog.

Hannah had the right temperament; she's very laid back and gentle.

At 6 years, she still wasn't spayed because until recently, the breeder had been planning for her to have one more litter.

Because Hannah was only kept as a breeding female, she had absolutely no contact with other dogs and so she has become quite reactive towards well-meaning pups out in the dog parks and on walks, which is something we continue to work with her on.

Before she was a breeding female, she competed in Schutzhund in Germany and America. She has since forgotten everything, which is fine because we love her as a family pet! :)

Hannah's name was originally Honda but we decided that Hannah suited her better.

Treat Haul + Irresistiball

Ran out this afternoon to get some new treats to try out. Has anyone used any of these before?
I'll do another post about these three later-- I'm waiting to get the Animal Planet Soft and Chewy Salmon treats tomorrow! :D

I also found a little Irresistiball dog food dispensing toy to try out on Abby.
She doesn't really understand that she has to work for food so she's always whining. Silly puppy!
